Freedom 180, the Positive Youth Development Program of the Florida Department of Health in Bay County, and Florida State University’s Panama City Campus are proud to announce the More Th>n A Nu#ber: A Human Trafficking Seminar on Friday, July 26, 2019, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The conference will be held at Florida State University’s Panama City Campus (4750 Collegiate Dr., Panama City, FL 32405), specifically the Holley Building, in the Holley Lecture Hall. The conference will be focused on Human Trafficking; not only recognizing the signs, but what an individual can do to help eradicate Human Trafficking in their area.

Our keynote speaker, Nicole Phillips is the Founder & Executive Director of Lavished, an organization that works with women who currently work or are transitioning out of the commercial sex industry. One branch of Nicole’s work, entitled The Trindi Initiative, focuses on trafficked and exploited women, placing an emphasis on human trafficking prevention, awareness, outreach, and traditional assistance. After obtaining her Bachelor's degree, Nicole Phillips worked as a Substance Abuse Counselor for two years. She will complete her Masters of Organizational Leadership in June of this year. Nicole is an ordained minister, a Certified Assistant Life Coach through Dream Releaser Coaching, and actively serves as the Executive Chair of the Florida Circuit 14 Human-Trafficking Task Force.

Along with the keynote session, we are offering presentations from many experts in the field. We also have the honor of hearing from two survivors of Human Trafficking; one that was trafficked in Northwest Florida including Bay County.
