Watson Bayou Advisory Rescinded
September 13, 2019
Panama City, Fla. – A swimming advisory is rescinded for Watson Bayou in Panama City. The advisory was issued following a September 3 raw sewage spill of approximately 1,800 gallonsin waterways feeding into the bayou.
The Florida Department of Health in Bay County, DOH-Bay, is rescinding the advisory in coordination with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
DOH-Bay advises persons with open cuts or wounds to avoid entering bodies of water to prevent infection.
