Panama City, Fla. –A swimming advisory is rescinded for Johnson Bayou in Panama City. The advisory was issued September 24 following a release of 1,600 gallons of raw sewage due to an equipment malfunction. The advisory covered Johnson Bayou from Garden Club Drive south to West Beach Drive and Wood Avenue east to Florida Avenue.

The Florida Department of Health in Bay County, DOH-Bay, is rescinding the advisory in coordination with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. DOH-Bay advises persons with open cuts or wounds to avoid entering bodies of water to prevent infection.
