Florida Department of Health in Bay County to Host The 2022 Bay County Health Summits

August 09, 2022

Panama City, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health in Bay County (DOH-Bay), in partnership with the Bay County Health Improvement Partnership will be hosting three Health Summits. The summits will be held at DOH-Bay, 597 W 11th Street, Panama City on August 17, September 14, and September 21 from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Utilizing the Mobilizing for Action through Planning and Partnerships (MAPP) process these meetings will bring a diverse mix of public health professionals, community members, and community organizations together so they can take a collaborative approach to prioritizing and addressing the needs of the community through the development of strategies and interventions.

Using MAPP, communities seek to achieve optimal health by identifying and using their resources wisely, taking into account their unique circumstances and needs, and forming effective partnerships for strategic action.

“I invite all members of our community to participate in these summits. Having input from the community is important for developing our strategies to ensuring a healthy Bay County,” said Sandon S. Speedling, MHS, CPM, CPH, Florida Department of Health in Bay County, Administrator and Health Officer.
