August 19, 2025 2 min read

Bay County, Fla. —The Florida Department of Health in Bay County (DOH-Bay) has issued water quality advisories for the following locations:

Laguna Beach (SP 2)

19440 Front Beach Road

Panama City Beach, FL 32413

Panama City Beach City Pier (SP 3)

16101 Front Beach Road

Panama City Beach, FL 32413

Rick Seltzer Park (SP 6)

7419 Thomas Drive

Panama City Beach, FL 324018

Beach Drive (SP 10)

US-98 West Beach Drive

Panama City, FL 32401

Earl Gilbert Park (SP 11)

6601 Oak Shore Drive

Parker, FL 32404

Tests completed on Monday, August 19, 2025, indicate that the water quality at the Laguna Beach (SP 2), Panama City Beach City Pier (SP 3), Rick Seltzer Park (SP 6), Beach Drive (SP 10), and Earl Gilbert Park (SP 11) locations do not meet the recreational water quality criteria for Enterococcus bacteria recommended by the Florida Department of Health.

DOH-Bay advises against any water-related activities at these locations due to an increased risk of illness in swimmers. Sampling conducted during regular water quality monitoring showed that the level of bacteria exceeds the level established by state guidelines.

These advisories will continue until bacteria levels are below the accepted health level. Test results are available at FloridaHealth.gov/HealthyBeaches
