The Florida Department of Health in Bay County (DOH-Bay) is reminding the public that Bay County is under a mosquito-borne illness advisory and informing residents of a confirmed human case of locally acquired West Nile Virus. DOH-Bay, Beach Mosquito Control District, and Bay County Mosquito Control are coordinating surveillance and prevention efforts.

To protect yourself from mosquitoes, you should remember to "Drain and Cover."
