Presumptive Eligibility for Pregnant Women (PEPW)

Presumptive eligibility allows a pregnant woman to receive temporary Medicaid coverage for prenatal care for up to 45 days. Presumptive eligibility is limited to one eligibility span per pregnancy.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the program, you must:

  • Meet income guidelines
  • Proof of pregnancy (determined at day of appointment by DOH-Bay Nursing Staff)

What to bring to your appointment:

  • Driver’s License or Photo ID
  • Social Security Card
  • Insurance Card
  • Proof of Household Income (Under 21 years old and living with parents bring parents income.)
